Laser Eye Surgery and COVID-19: How We Are Putting Safety First

At BoydVision, the safety of our patients is always our top priority. With COVID-19, our laser eye surgery center is working harder than ever to ensure that our patients and staff stay safe during this pandemic.

In this blog post, we take a look at some of the extra precautions we are taking to ensure that your visit to our laser eye center is a safe one.

Keeping Our Patients Safe

Since COVID-19, one of the most significant changes our laser eye surgery center has made is restricting walk-ins and allowing entry into our clinic by appointment only. Appointments enable us to schedule and carefully monitor the number of people entering our clinic so that we can stay under our capacity limit. At this time, friends and family will not be allowed entry to reduce the number of occupants in our clinic at the same time.

Upon arriving, we screen all patients with a series of qualifying questions and a temperature check. Everyone inside our laser eye surgery center is required to sanitize and wear a mask to ensure our patients’ safety—our staff will also be wearing masks at all times. To encourage social distancing, there is currently limited space available in our seating area. If there are too many patients waiting in our seating area, we may ask for you to remain in your car and be called in.

With the advent of COVID-19, our exceptional cleaning practices have become even more rigorous. Our staff is continually cleaning and sanitizing all rooms and surfaces in our office—all day, every day. While our operating rooms and pre/post-op areas already follow a meticulous cleaning regimen, our staff have been putting extra effort into keeping our facilities pristine and safe.
