We have a lot of patients who have had laser eye surgery but do
not live in the Vancouver area. Reputable laser eye surgery
clinics are not easily found in smaller centres, so travel is
often necessary. The good news is that you won't have to stay long
(possibly as short as one overnight stay). There are some great
places to stay nearby, including the Hilton Metrotown and the
Holiday Inn Metrotown. And if you
want to do some shopping while you're here, you can't get much
better than the Metrotown Shopping Centre.
There are some post-operative follow-up visits that need to be
tended to. The minimum requirement is for your one-day post-op
visit to be done at BoydVision Centre. The remaining visits can
be done with an optometrist in your area. We will help you in
arranging your appointments, or even to find an optometrist if you
don't already have one.
The cost of your surgery is adjusted to help offset the fees you
will need to pay to the optometrist for post-operative follow-up.
In most cases, the total cost (excluding travel and
accommodations) would be much the same as a Vancouverite would
pay. Bear in mind that not everyone's experience is the same, so
total costs may vary. |
