Our surgeon, Dr. Michael Boyd, began his career as an
ophthalmologist in 1986. He began performing laser eye surgery in
1994 and has completed over 15,000 procedures (LASIK and PRK) to
date. He is genuinely interested in patient satisfaction. He
carefully screens potential candidates for laser eye surgery to
ensure a successful outcome.
The staff of Boyd Vision Centre are very experienced and
dedicated. Our medical technologist has been involved in laser eye
surgery since the very first case was done in Canada in 1990. Our
laser technician worked at a high volume laser centre, assisting
in thousands of procedures, before joining us in 2002.
We are one of the few clinics in Canada who are able to offer so
many different options for vision correction, including PRK, LASIK,
refractive lens exchange, and multifocal intraocular lenses. Dr.
Boyd believes firmly in offering the option that is best for each
individual patient, rather than trying to fit the patient's needs
into a small range of options.
